From the first season, the club's boxers proved themselves as some of the strongest in the world



Professional Sports Club Astana Arlans was formed in 2010 as part of the World Series of Boxing (WSB) project by the Boxing Federation of Kazakhstan. From the first season, the club's boxers proved themselves as some of the strongest in the world.

The first season (2010-2011) was marked by a second place finish; the team ended its second season (2011-2012) in third place; in the third season (2012-2013), the club became WSB champions; and in the fourth season (2013-2014), it was in third place. The fifth season (2014-2015) was as successful as the third, and the club became a two-time WSB champion. Thus, the club is the most successful among competitors in the project. In the fifth season, the club's boxers also won 3 Olympic licenses. The sixth season started in January 2016, the team has taken the 3rd place.



Creation of Professional Sports Club ASTANA ARLANS LLP

The team Astana Arlandary receives the status of the Kazakhstan’s National Team according to WSB — the world's only professional boxing series where athletes can preserve their right to participate in the Olympics.

This season, the following boxers were individually distinguished:
- Abutalipov Kanat, the first WSB champion;
- Musafirov Yerzhan, the best boxer in the regular season in the weight category of 61 kg.


In the second season the Club finished 3rd in the World Series of Boxing (WSB)

The club’s boxer Ruslan Myrsatayev was voted the Best Boxer of Asia according to WSB.


ASTANA ARLANS became the WSB winner in the Third season, promoting the image of Kazakhstan in the international sports and political arena

The professional sports club ASTANA ARLANS joined the Astana Multiclub.

The club’s boxer Samat Bashenov was voted the Best Boxer of Asia according to WSB.


In the fourth season, ASTANA ARLANS made the semifinal of WSB.


The Olympic champion of 2012, winner of the Val Barker Cup Serik Sapiev appointed as General Director.

Well-known Kazakhstani coach Marat Jakiyev becomes the team’s head coach.

The team becomes the two-time champion.


The sixth season started in January 2016.

Nurlan Akurpekov was appointed as Senior Coach of the club. He has been working with the team and training many successful and popular boxers for the several years. Following the results of the sixth season, the team has taken the third place.

The main goals of Astana Arlans are to promote the image of Kazakhstan and its young capital of Astana internationally and promote the concept of a healthy lifestyle among the population.

  • Popularizing boxing in the country;

  • The development of professional boxing;

  • Honorable representation of the club from Astana on the international scene as part of the WSB project;

  • Winning the World Champion title in professional boxing according to WSB in team and individual competitions;

  • Winning a license for the Olympic Games as a result of participation in the WSB project;

  • Promoting physical fitness and sports, involving youth in regular physical training and sports.

Goals for the forthcoming season:

  • To take the 1st place on WSB

  • To promote the idea of healthy lifestyle

  • To popularize Kazakhstan boxing school

  • To promote image of Kazakhstan in the world sports community

  • To bring up and prepare young generation of boxers to fight with grave rivals

  • To engage boxers of National Kazakhstan Team to share experience with main rivals in world competitions and championships.
